This page will be used to keep track of places that are on my "wish list" (or "bucket list") of places to visit and why I would like to go there. If you have a place that you like, please feel free to comment and tell me about it. For that matter, feel free to comment on anything.
J. Lorraine (Ghost Town), Manor, TX -- I like ghost towns. I find them interesting. This particular one is now a Place of Interest and relatively close to where I live. It's a wonder, then, why I haven't been there yet.
Wonder World Park, San Marcos, TX -- This park has a "mystery spot" which is one of those places that look like weird things are going on. The one here is called The Anti-Gravity House and that sounds good to me! There are also other things to do but I don't know their policy on cameras.
Waco Mammoth Site, Waco, TX -- This place has mammoth fossils. That is, bones from mammoths not especially large fossils.
Cameron Park, Waco, TX -- I've been to a number of parks in the Austin area so I'd like to see a city park in a different city. Cameron Park looks nice and, as a bonus, they have the Cameron Park Zoo.
Helena, TX (Ghost Town) -- Down near San Antonio is another ghost town which used to be the county seat of Karnes County and known as the "toughest town in the world."
Regency, TX (Ghost Town) -- I don't think there's anything left of Regency except for a suspension bridge that crosses the Colorado River.
Stonehenge II, Ingram, TX -- Ingram is the new home of Stonehenge II. This happened in 2012, not long after I created my original list (which still says Hunt, TX). Frustratingly, it's close to Kerrville, where I was a few weeks ago.
Gunfight Glockenspiel, Grapevine, TX -- Grapevine should have several things worth seeing, but I need to see the glockenspiel. It's a fun word.
Woodson, TX -- Throckmorton is a wacky cool name. Woodson is in Throckmorton County. Even better, it's located near where a boom town named Whiz Bang was located. Woodson, and nearby Desdemona, have the distinction of having been bombed by Japanese schoolgirls.
